Wow holy regency Cass! Repercussions is a mild term for what has happened! But I am still curious, there is 3 Bennet girls left but only two is with Mr Bennet in Derbyshire, where is the third? With the Gardiners maybe? All hints and links between the Phillips and Bennet’s disappeared… I do wonder if someone thought Mr Bennet had done away with his wife?? Who knows?! Or maybe… oh horrible thought, maybe Jane married?! And it is Elizabeth and Mary who is with Mr Bennet?! Omg if that is the case!

Well, at least this is not as severe a cliff hanger as the previous chapters. Thanks for posting so soon after the last chapter. I am one who loves angst in my stories and this certainly is providing that. And to my count we are missing two girls as out of the five, two are with Mr. Bennet and one is dead. I am still thinking/hoping two are with the Gardiners.

My comments for Chapter 4 wouldn’t go through so I’m trying with this one…
How terribly sad for the Bennets, to have experienced 2 deaths in the family so close to one another. So many questions – and not just from dear Bingley and Darcy – from all of us reading, Cass!

One of my favourite quotes from The Lord of the Rings comes from The Return of the King and is spoken by Gandalf before the battle for Minas Tirith: “The board is set, the pieces are moving”. That’s what came to mind after reading this chapter, Cass. We may not quite be there yet, as we don’t know where Kitty and Mary are, but it’s not far off I think. Then who knows where this particular game of chess may take us? What I do know is that it’s going to be a most enjoyable one.

I love the way you are going about this story, as a sort of mystery for Bingley and Darcy to figure out. But of course this only shows the good character of both and Darcy’s affection and sense of responsibility despite what he felt earlier for Elizabeth and her family. Of course the Gardner’s! Jane and Elizabeth must be in town with them. Keep us guessing Cass, I am loving every read and how wonderful twice a week to look forward to. Enjoy your day!!!
