The first meeting!!! Thank you, thank you, my fluffiness remains intact π Yes, Lizzy, Darcy IS a fox. Love the cold shock of the first moment they see each other again, figuratively and literally.
Terribly intrigued by the vagueness of Mr. Bennet’s account. I hope we find out more about what happened as the story moves along.
Missing neckcloth – a reason to come back, yes, yes, please.
Tuesday cannot come quickly enough. Maybe, if we beg hard enough… you would consider posting every 2 days, period? π

I forgive you, dear Author, for teasing me so unmercifully with the mention of that horrid Miss Latimer, although I am sure she has many lovely qualities… Oh Wait! She’s still coming to Pemberley, isn’t she? Nevermind!

It would appear she is, Carol! π

I can also imagine Elizabeth going up to the great house to return the neckcloth….and if Bingley is there. Well that opens all kinds of possibilities. Now if i can just keep from biting my nails till then. Sooooo looking forward to the next chapter. I often stay up past midnight here and find myself checking my e-mails to see if there is a new post….not knowing the time difference or at what time you post. Silly me.
Thank you for this additional chapter.

Please don’t bite your nails, Sheila! You will make me feel guilty! π
I try to post around midday UK time, so it depends where you are. That’s 5 hours ahead of the East Coast, if that helps!

Best. Derbyshire. Meeting. EVER! And thus ends Darcy’s career as a Peeping Tom, sadly ended before it really began. I can imagine that Elizabeth’s emotions are now bouncing between mortification and extreme humor. Since the Bennets have moved to Derbyshire to escape from everyone who knew them before, I have to wonder how they will react to Bingley’s arrival. Also, I’m wondering which sister is also living there and what has happened to the others. So… hurry Tuesday!

I have to admit that, writing on Friday afternoon, that Tuesday seems a very long way away. Ah well, I shall be developing my oft-neglected character quality of patience. π
Have a lovely weekend, Cass!!
Warmly,

Cass, thanks so much for saving my fingernails. We have friends staying this weekend and it would have been difficult to explain why I was hanging from a cliff edge for the entirety of their stay!
Darcy the fox, eh? Brings all sorts of pictures to mind. At least he and Elizabeth have met again at last, albeit very briefly. I do like Sheila’s idea of Elizabeth finding it necessary to return his neckcloth to him at Pemberley and thus meeting Georgiana at last. One thing I’m not sure about is if Darcy wrote his letter to Elizabeth at Hunsford. I get the impression that he didn’t, in which case Elizabeth knows nothing about Wickham’s history with Georgiana. Interesting.
Having had experience with two rather unruly sisters, could Elizabeth be called upon to help deal with the Bungley(!) sisters after their arrival? If the other Bennet sister is indeed Jane, how will she react to Bingley’s arrival?

LOL! Well, I am glad you came down off that cliff, Anji, for your sake as well as your guests’!
Yes, Darcy wrote his letter and Elizabeth read it. The story of P&P still stands other than, when Elizabeth visited Derbyshire and Pemberley with her aunt and uncle, Darcy was travelling and not at home.
So many questions, lol! Hope you have a lovely weekend, Anji!

Well well well Darcy is now the landlord of the Bennets! I suddenly have a heck of a lot more respect for Mr. Bennet! I am still a lot of questions about why there should only be 2 Bennet girls in Derbyshire when there should be 4? Well I’m guessing we will learn eventually

Excellent!
I find myself catching up on a few chapters.
I imagine Lazy peeking through the crack in the door watching a cravat-less Darcy.
I cannot imagine she was too mortified since she found humor in the situation.
Well, I wonder what sister is with her and where the others remain, though I would guess they are with one or each of there aunts/uncles.
Looking forward to more… of our DC running into each other. After all we know how much Lazy like to walk in the wilderness.
