Oh, Mr. Darcy. I’m beginning to think he doth protest too much indeed, as other readers have pointed out! Yes, think of Jane and Bingley and the depth of their attachment without giving your own a second thought, because you are so completely over Lizzy.

Loved Mr. Bennet’s chat with Darcy. I suspected Mary and Kitty were away to be educated; and this chapter confirmed it. Now I wonder if we will see them at all, or if we will get a chance to see the Gardiners as well?

I am so enjoying the ride. It’s just I can be very impatient, hahaha. And it is quite difficult typing replies on an iPad. Lol!

Any chance we could sweet-talk you into a Tuesday-Thurs-Sat posting schedule? 😬😬😬

Morning time here in my little part of the world so I thought I’d check.
    And delighted I am.
I never even thought of the education of two girls but it makes perfect sense. And really, good for them.
I hope Jane has moved on and is in love with the vicar and that’s why she is helping with the parishioners. I know that’s selfish of me but I have always thought Bingley a little fickle, besides a Wentworth does have earnest value. πŸ˜‰

I truly did not think Mr. Bennet would have the resources to send the other two to be educated but you worked that part out so well. Darcy is SO into denial. Yes, Bingley IMO has always been a fickle man. What’s this vicar like? Not a Mr. Collins, I do hope. Both Darcy and Bingley deserve to twist in the wind a little. I would love to see both have a turn at being jealous.

Would love 3 times a week posting…pretty please with cream and strawberries on top!

Thanks for this offering all the same.

I love strawberries and cream! πŸ˜€

It seems there are a few people who’d like to see Bungley squirm… and Darcy a bit too! I wonder if anyone wants Lizzy to have her share too! πŸ˜‰

Oh, Lizzy has to be humiliated in her situation but she will have reinforced upon her what a good man/Master/friend Darcy is to those on the Pemberley estate or visiting there…I am sure.

Bungley LOL it would serve he right being so inconstant! Jane deserves better and a Wentworth could be the best match for her given the he is a vicar and she has all that would make a perfect vicar’s wife. Mayhap Darcy really did do her a favor after all. An education for their dear sisters is a great idea, they both need polishing as Mr. Bennett now realizes. This is so well done Cass and I agree with the others above we need less time between chapters if you please πŸ™‚ LOL we just want you to have no life at all don’t we πŸ™‚

Cass, our friends are starting to wonder why I keep giggling whilst I’m looking at “work emails” on my iPad. It’s all your fault, of course, as It happens every time you’ve written Bungley instead of Bingley! Just goes to show that I should proof my comments before posting, doesn’t it?

I can’t see Mr. Wentworth being a Mr. Collins-type vicar, not from what I remember in Persuasion. Captain Wentworth couldn’t possibly be a frequent visitor to a brother who resembled Collins in any way, surely. I hope Jane has fallen for Mr. Wentworth as like yourself and others, I’ve always thought Bungley should have shown a bit more backbone where Jane was concerned.

The scene between Darcy and Mr. Bennet is just delicious, especially when Mr. Bennet is “winding up” Darcy. At least this Mr. Bennet has seen the error of his ways and has turned his family’s sad situation to some advantage for Kitty and Mary – nicely done there. It even sounds as though he’s even had words with his favourite daughter.

Looking forward to the next chapter very much and would love to add my pleas to the others for a weekend posting if it’s at all possible. Could I bribe you with some of hubby’s latest batch of home made wine to go with Sheila’s strawberries and cream?

Hey, I think we share the blame equally, Anji! After all, I’m only embracing the typo you made – I just love it! lol

Anyone who knows me will know that wine is the best bribery you can offer me (though the strawberries and cream are a close second!) As for offering them both to me, well, let’s just say Chapter Thirteen is going up early!

  12. A wonderful chapter, and yes, I’m all for the thrice-weekly postings. Wine is always a great “carrot” to dangle before an overworked writer, LOL!!

Thank you so much for writing for us; this story is definitely one of my favorite WIPs!
