Aagh! Another cliffhanger! Darcy is really going to have to sort things out and make his peace with Bungley or it’s going to be a looong two weeks for them both. It certainly sounds as though Jane “thinks” she’s “over” Bungley. What have you got in store for us when the Bennets come to call, i wonder?
The twins sound delightful but obviously a bit of a handful. Or should that be two handsful? I can just see their impersonation Caroline! It’s going to be interesting to see their influence on Georgiana.
Wednesday is so long away but thank you so much Cass, for posting this chapter early.

Sorry, Anji! This chapter is almost twice the length of the others (usually around 2,000 words each; this is 3,500), but I couldn’t avoid the cliffie!
I may post Tuesday, it depends how my week starts of!! π

I thought it was longer than previously. Still didn’t want it to end, though!

All I can say to you, and to everyone who’s taken the plunge to follow a WiP, is THANK YOU for being here, and especially to those who comment!
You’ve no idea how much more inspired I am to post chapters and finish the story, knowing there are people who are reading along and enjoying it!

So, the twins have arrived. There is no way that the Bennets’ privacy will be maintained. And how long until Caroline shows her face? This was a fun chapter, Cass.

More fun and games next week!

Upon further reflection, I can see the usefulness of the young Misses Bingley when the dreaded Miss Latimer arrives. They may be able to break through any well-crafted facade Miss L might have. True colors, and all that, LOL!

Oh no! A cliffy delaying the dreaded disclosures – haven’t they already been delayed long enough? I wonder if Bingley will have a negative reaction, but he is a forgiving soul so I don’t see too much angst ahead for the two friends. I find it amusing that he has as much success attempting to correct Olivia and Viola as he did with Caroline.I’m glad the meeting is about to take place and it should be quite interesting since Bingley will only know the truth for a few minutes before he is forced to face Jane. I have to go take a nap now — the twins are exhausting! π

Wow…the twins sort of remind me if Lydia squared (L2)…your cliffhanger keep me going Cass! May wish for more but the pauses give me time to wonder what’s around the next turn…lol. The twins are a wonderful addition to this…

So happy you are enjoying the new additions! I promise they won’t be too Lydia! They are just young and full of fun, but they do know how and when to behave (i.e. in public situations), and although they think Darcy is attractive, they are not husband hunting themselves (they’re a bit young).

So the Bennets are to make their obligated return visit to Pemberley and the Bingleys are there. This should be very interesting. And I can just see the twins persuading Georigana to walk in the direction of The Grange as they are now introduced to more “new” friends. Thanks for posting this chapter early.

I think you are right about them wanting to visit The Grange!

I don’t believe Darcy realizes the havoc these two are going to cause! Yes, I agree about Miss Latimer and her well crafted facade being breached! This is going to be delicious! Oh Jane, I do wonder at your attitude on Mr. Bingley! I think he only has to look at you with his adoring puppy eyes and you will be ‘lost’ again! I just think you will make him work to earn your love a second time! I also think that the twins will remind the Bennet sisters of Lydia…

Don’t forget that Jane has been working closely with Wentworth, the local parson. Bingley may find Jane’s heart has found a new attachment.

The twins are delightful! I think they will bring some much-needed joie de vivre to stodgy old Pemberley. Georgiana might be a little shocked by their exuberance, but she also seems to be charmed by them (and how funny it was for Georgiana to worry that Pemberley was going to be deemed deficient since it was lacking any man-eating fish). I think the twins are going to love the Bennet sisters and will recognize a kindred spirit hiding deep down in Elizabeth.

Nice surprise, Cass, to find the notification in my inbox today. I was not expecting a post today. I can’t wait for them all to meet at Pemberly. I hope the twins will create some mischief between Jane and Bungley. Will they perhaps find the darkness that they crave at Pemberly in the form of Whickham? Are the twins names a wink to the Bard’ s Twelfth Night? You are making me wish my days away so posting days come sooner… π

Yes, not planned at all, but I know Thursday to Tuesday seems a long time sometimes! π
Good spot re Twelfth Night – yes, Bungley’s step-mother loved Shakespeare!

OMG Cass!!!! How in the world can you leave us here?! That is plain evil!!! Get yourself in front of a screen and start typing! I Must know what Bingley says to the news of Jane being within 10 mins ride from Pemberley? Will he be in time to win her heart? Or is Jane already in love with the mysterious Wentworth at the parsonage?
The twins are sooo funny, they will certainly liven up Pemberley and might even help Georgiana grow in confidence and outgoing character? And maybe even help with the situation between Darcy and Lizzie???
Quickly now Cass with the next chapter!

Tee hee!
Okay, so it was a bit of a cliffie, BUT it was a bonus chapter after all, and it was almost twice the length of some of the others! Weekend treat! π
Have you noticed that the questions still keep on coming? π
I’m writing, I promise! Just took a break to catch up here!

I have a feeling that Elizabeth will get great delight getting to know Miss Bingleys.
And what a distraction that will be for her!
I agree with your comment above… Thursday to Tuesday is long, indeed.

I adore the twins–they are so artless, the exact opposite of their older half-sister. (Thank goodness!!) And while Georgie seems a bit overwhelmed by their enthusiastic approach to life, I think they will do her good; she needs a little “shaking up” and some girlishness in her life. π
I wonder how Bingley will react to the news of Jane? I am so curious!!
Thank you for posting early; I quite enjoyed finding a lovely and unexpected chapter in my inbox this morning!
Thank you again for writing for us!
Warmly,
