How lovely to have a chapter to read over my breakfast (I wake up late in the morning.) I am still wondering who is spying on Elizabeth when she has the feeling of being watched. How nice (for the story line) that Elizabeth opened the wrong door. But so lovely also to hear Mr. Darcy playing. We readers want them as much in each other’s company as possible. And to not let them rest easily in the thoughts intruding in their heads. Thank you for this chapter.

LOL I am SO aware the readers want D/E moments. It’s tricky trying to cover the necessary parts of the story sometimes and include one of those, but I shall do my best and will try to minimise non-D/E chapters!

Thank you for continuing to read! ❀

  4. This was a great chapter. And I was so glad she opened the wrong door. Now she knows about Miss Latimer and Georgiana doesn’t like the lady. I am sure she will be dreadful and Darcy will be in an awkward spot. Oh, Cass, give us more! Tuesday is too far away!!

I'm already making mistakes and missing typos by posting two chapters a week and not having enough time to send to a proof reader, so I daren't commit to more just now! This chapter turned out way longer than I expected!

      Hi Dave!

Thank you for the heads up! I did mean to say ‘conscious’ rather than self-conscious, but maybe I’ve got it wrong? I’ll look into it.

Beyond that, appreciate the pointing out of typos as I know I never catch them all!

      Happy Thanksgiving! ❀

Oh dear! I hope Jane only has a cold and nothing worse! Hmmm…now that Elizabeth knows of Miss Latimer, I wonder if that will slow down the rapport building between her and Darcy! I love the twins spontaneous reactions of warmth. This is so good for Georgiana. Yes, Tuesday is too far away!

I must be a truly rotten person, because I delight in Elizabeth being unsettled by the news that Darcy is considering Miss Latimer. Maybe seeing the lovely and talented Miss Latimer will once and forever force her to acknowledge her feelings for him. I’m quite confident her feelings are not what she seems to have a penchant to express. I sense fun and games lie ahead and I’m geared up and ready to play! (Or watch, as the case may be.)

  9. Oh I love the twins they are good fun! So full of life and cheer!
Oh goodness I think Lizzie is realising her feelings very slowly but surely! And what a beautiful interlude between Darcy and Elizabeth! I didn’t know our Mr. Darcy played the piano forte!

I’m growing fond of the twins too! They are a bit young for their age, but they will mature into lovely young ladies, I am sure! ❀

Cass, I finally got to catch up with the last 3 chapters. The twins are a great foil for any well-ordered plans. I am also glad to see Elizabeth so nettled by the coming of Miss Latimer. I would like to know how many chapters you expect for this story.

As always, thank you for sharing your story with us.

I wish I knew how many chapters, Peggy (or gabbycat – love that name!) We’re in the second half of the story, but I really can’t tell yet. I started posting chapters of around 2,000 words in length, but some have been almost double that… I’m not the best editor! πŸ˜‰

Thank you for reading along and for commenting! Means a lot to me! ❀

What a surprise – not! Elizabeth has found out about Miss Latimer and doesn’t like it, but can’t figure out why. She will eventually! Probably once the lady arrives at Pemberley, I imagine, especially as she knows that Georgiana doesn’t approve of the match.

The twins continue to delight and amuse, as they have done continually since the start. I love reading about a musical Darcy, too. I would have loved to learn to play the piano, but growing up in a house where money wasn’t growing on trees and having very small hands meant that was always a non-starter, so I’m very envious of those with the talent. I wonder who he was thinking about whilst playing his powerful and emotional piece? Bet you’re not offering prizes for guessing that!

We’re going away for a few days shortly so I may have to play catch up this time next week, as I won’t have any wi-fi and the mobile signal is pretty rubbish where we’ll be. At least I’ll have two chapters to read back to back. Looking forward to that!

  13. I am sooooooo enjoying the slow unfolding of Elizabeth’s feelings for Darcy, as her reaction to the intelligence of Miss Latimer shows. And once Darcy sees the two ladies side by side, I little doubt to whom he will be most attracted. πŸ˜‰

Thank you for another chapter; this is a wonderful story, and I am looking forward with great anticipation to the next installment!

I find myself so anxious for each installment. I am glad you are posting twice a week! I am pleased that Elizabeth is finding herself drawn to Mr. Darcy–for as we all know they belong together :). However, I am worried that the relationship with Miss Latimer with have progressed to far–with too many expectations–for Darcy to easily withdraw. I look forward to seeing how you handle this. I also feel certain the feeling of being watched bodes no good, as Wickham’s whereabouts are unaccounted for! Can’t wait for next week!

Thank you for such a lovely chapter. I like that Elizabeth is unsettled by the possibility of a Miss Latimer/Darcy union. I also liked the part where she told Georgiana she had only recently learned about misjudging people and their reasons for actions. Good part and I was hoping Georgiana could read between the lines there. That might give Darcy encouragement and/or hope. πŸ™‚ This is such a delightful story and I am enjoying immensely. Hmmm…could the ghost be the mysterious watcher that prickles Lizzy’s skin? Is it Wickham???

So surprised to see that Miss Viola & Olivia got their pairings wrong! What mischief.
But never one to be a big Jane & Bingley fan, perhaps Miss Latimer for Bingley and let Jane have her Mr. Wentworth?

LOL re the twins. Yes, their perceptions aren't quite up to scratch yet, are they? As for the other characters, well, I'll see how the Poll comes out, but it looks like I'll be following my original plans! πŸ˜‰

What a lovely surprise, to find that Darcy shares the same proficiency in or do I say love of music as his sister.

Slowly, we see Lizzy’s eyes being opened (just as she well admits to Georgiana) to the true character of Darcy. Yes, Lizzy, that is disappointment you feel as you look around hoping to catch a glimpse of the man. So glad that Jane has a larger role as well, pushing Lizzy to examine her true feelings about Mr. Darcy. Also very pleased that Georgiana is warmly and affectionately engaged by the twins, who are lovely new characters I am beginning to really get attached to.

What a cliffhanger! I could well imagine Lizzy walking down like in P&P2005, hearing music, and then Darcy saying “Yes, yes I know” with THAT expression and tone like in the same film’s balcony scene. Contented sigh, because I have the next chapter available for reading now. Hehehe. Loving every chapter; not that surprising that I am enjoying myself this much. I would only enjoy myself more if the chapters came more often, but no pressure. πŸ˜‰

No pressure felt, I promise! I’m writing as I go now (so I apologise to everyone for the increased likelihood of missing more typos!) so I am struggling to get far enough ahead to have chapters to spare (hopefully I might be able to once the festive season is over).
