Chapter News

In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My attempt to finish the next chapter has been repressed! You must allow me to tell you how sorry I am not to be posting one this week!

I’m afraid being away has hampered my progress and brought several technical issues into play as well (keyboards not syncing, the Word app on my iPad throwing a hissy fit, etc etc).

The chapter will go up on Sunday now, once we are home again, and I am sorry for the extra few days’ delay. There will be two chapters next week, but posting days will be Wednesday and Friday.

The story may conclude next week, but as I am the worst judge of how long it takes me to say anything, don’t be surprised if a couple more sneak into the mix!!

I find writing with an iPad a nerve-wracking experience, even though I have finally got rid of that debilitating auto-correct feature. Now it takes me 5 mn to write 3 lines instead of 15mn before. And some say it’s progress….

Enjoy your stay in England while we look forward to the next chapters ๐Ÿ™‚

Cass, we treasure what you write and would not want you to post something you are not satisfied with just to satisfy some “deadline”. I (and I hope I speak for many) am more that happy to wait a little longer to be able to read the best product from your creative hands. That said: just relax and enjoy life and where the road takes you. We’re here and want to be friends as well as readers.

  3. I am hoping for the end of the story to be postponed and that you wrote more extra chapters :D. I don’t think I am ready to let this story go…

Who could be upset with an apology like that! Have no fear, take your time and like Daniela, I hope you keep on writing…go right ahead and write as many chapters as you want!

With an introduction like that how can we fault you…Very Clever…I will not pull an Elizabeth and fault you. Enjoy your vacation. See you next week. You are worth the wait!

No worries Cass, especially when you put it into those words! The Word app on my iPad keeps having similar “hissy fits”, especially the first time I use it after there’s been an update. Once I had to uninstall and reinstall it from scratch, which deleted all the documents I’d been proofreading BUT fortunately, I’d got them all backed up! What would be the Regency equivalent I wonder? Some sort of quill malfunction? Sometimes technology makes you yearn for simpler times, doesn’t it? We’ll still be here, though, when it gets posted. I don’t think any of us are reading to let go of this story any time soon!

Have a safe trip back to Switzerland at the weekend.

  7. Thanks for letting us know! I know how maddening those technical glitches can be. We shall all look forward to Sunday, then! Take care, and I hope that your father is doing well.

    Warmly,

Thank you for letting us know. Y IPad 2 Air is indispensable for many things like reading books, listening to music, Facebook, etc., but writing is not one of them.

Hi Cass. I have been away with only limited access to wifi. I have tried to read the chapter but as I was very busy with visitors and then visiting Somerset myself, I have not suffered too much. I’d rather wait than you posting in a rush what you are not happy with. I agree entirely with the other readers.
I am home now but I have spent the day in Bath after not having been there for over ten years. I enjoyed myself immensely. I hope you are enjoying your time in England. I do not mind how long it takes you to finish the story. Like our dear Jane, when I like a book I always find it too short.

For some reason I just feel like saying ‘tally ho’, though I know it doesn’t quite fit. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Take your time and do what’s important. We can wait. Best to you and yours.
And let’s not talk about the ending being so near. It’s much akin to saying, ‘lions, tigers, and bears, oh my!’
    Tut, tut for now. ๐Ÿ˜€
