Miss Elliot is a good. How can Anne stand being related. Well Darcy is too stiff so the torture is good for him. Till tomorrow.

  2. Glynis says:

Such rude manners! How can Miss Elliot think she is being proper when she interrupts and puffs herself off all the time, as well as mortifying Georgiana by criticising the tea when it was obviously just an affectation!
I think Elizabeth is realising that Wickham’s description of Georgiana wasn’t correct so hopefully she might start to realise the rest of his words were lies?
I do hope Darcy doesn’t offer Miss Elliot a ride in his carriage especially if he’s in it as she would so obviously claim compromise!

  3. Good god! That was a chapter of pure horror! Miss Elliott is downright rude, poor Anne for being related to her two sisters and father!
But gosh it’s good to see Darcy go through some torture! And I do hope Elizabeth starts to see the reality of the Darcy siblings! Gosh Cass and Ada, well written and good with the torture!

What a lovely surprise to have two chapters today and the prospect of another two for tomorrow!
I am enjoying the story immensely. What will Darcy make of Miss Elliot asking for his carriage for such a short journey? Will he offer it? He will probably have to! He is a gentleman after all!

    • Cass says:

Yes, he’s a gentleman but to be fair, he already has his carriage ready as he’s going out! Miss Elliot, of course, will just assume it’s because she is who she is. Which is not very nice! lol

  6. OMG – Miss E is perfectly horrid! Plus she is bankrupting the estate with her extravagant renovations. I hope Elizabeth and Georgie will become fast friends. Thanks for posting 2 chapters today!

Thank you for 2 chapters today, it was a happy surprise 🤗
Apart from Anne the Elliot family are pretty unpleasant in the whole, how she became to be so nice is quite beyond me.
I hope Lizzy can see that Georgie is not as Wickham described her, and along with Anne befriends her, which is just what that poor girl needs.

Miss Elliot is obviously hoping to become Mrs Darcy I believe, she will make him quite uncomfortable in her efforts (after his behaviour in Meryton he deserves to be made uncomfortable for awhile to bring him down a peg or two 😉😁)

** I doubt it will happen but I would love to see Darcy caught up between Miss Elliot and Caroline Bingley both trying to gain his attention, he would be pulling out his own hair in desperation!! **

Looking forward to the next chapter already 😊

Thank you for reading along! Not sure how far I’ll get with posting before the book comes out, but I’ll share as many chapters as I can!

LOL re Darcy. Yep, he’s got a way to go yet! And also lol re being caught up between those two ladies. That would be hilarious!

Miss Elliott is too obvious in her intentions. Ugh.A walk would be good for her. Sheesh. Bothersome person. Meanwhile, the conversations between Elizabeth and Darcy continues to entertain.

  9. Jan S. says:

Well, I can positively state that Elizabeth Elliot is my new favorite character! My goodness, she never disappoints. Will the big D ride with her, or will he send her on her way, all alone, shivering in the cold carriage for the five minute ride, fearful for highwaymen, and bemoaning her fate? Of course, if he accompanies her, what fun will be in store for him! Hurry tomorrow!

We know that in canon Elizabeth Elliot had her eyes on the heir to Kellynch so this is differing if she now has turned her attentions towards Darcy. Yes, Elizabeth Bennet also sees that Wickham lied about Georgiana. I liked how Darcy gave the same cup of tea back to E.E…smirking. So he has her pegged but how will he get out of offering her a ride? Thanks for this chapter.

    • Cass says:

Well, she lost out on the heir to Kellynch, she has to find someone else. She had been hoping for a title, so although Darcy is rich, he doesn’t quite fit what she’s after, but perhaps she is getting desperate? 😉

This chapter had me laughing out loud at so many parts — loudest when Darcy offers Ms. Elliot the same cup. Ugh. Such. A. Nevermind. Definitely giving Caroline Bingley a run for her money.

Love how Elizabeth now sees Georgiana for who she is and not how Wickham described her! I also particularly liked how Georgiana warms up to her so quickly. See that, Darcy?

    • Cass says:

Yes, Miss Elliot is a nightmare! She had to be worse the Caroline, in a way, because of the obsession with rank and status (which is from the novel).

If 2020 was a character, it would be Elizabeth Elliot. I just know you are going to torture us with this woman. 😏
