I wonder what was in the letter that Miss Elliot obviously stole from Georgiana‘s book? I hope it wasn’t something she could use to force Darcy to marry her?
Poor Anne! I’m hoping Wentworth survived the sinking somehow?
Elizabeth! Well she seems to admit that the tales of Georgiana were incorrect but is still certain that the stories about Darcy were true? I thought she was supposed to be the clever sister? Obviously not!

Ah, but Elizabeth hasn’t heard anything negative about Wickham, upon whom she had quite the crush. She’s got a lot to learn yet.
Poor Captain Wentworth. I wonder what we’ve done with him?

Oh, how sad for Anne finding out the Laconia is sunk and thinking Wentworth is on it. I love that Lizzy hit Darcy with the snowball and he took it well. Anne’s sisters are pills. Waiting for more goodness! Loving this story.

I am loving this story and eagerly look for more. Poor Anne, or maybe not so poor since we know her Wentworth is alive somewhere. I look forward to more, of course. Thank you for sharing.

It seems that Elizabeth, Anne,and Darcy are struggling with unresolved issues. Does Elizabeth plan to confront Darcy regarding Bingley? I hope she does and leave him with begin his face. Has Miss Elliott come to realize that Darcy has no interest in her as a woman?

I only now had the chance to read chapters 11 and 12. I am loving the story. At last, Darcy has told himself that he needs to admit his feelings, at least to himself. Lizzy has realized that Wickham’s stories about Miss Darcy were not true… will she soon start to doubt Wickham’s stories about Darcy himself. Lizzy did not like Miss Elliot riding in the carriage with Mr Darcy… I wonder why… Miss Elliot is despicable and on top of that she stole Miss Darcy’s correspondence. That is not well bred at all. I feel for Anne. Persuasion is my second favourite Austen novel. I am hopeful, however, that Captain Wentworth may have survived. Please dear authors, post another chapter tomorrow. It is indeed too long to wait!

I think this is a start for Lizzy, but she needs to know more of Wickham to shed the rose-coloured spectacles she’s always viewed him through. I am sure someone is going to enlighten her!
Poor Captain Wentworth, but at least people here seem to have faith he isn’t at the bottom of the ocean!

Oh, Frederick did not go down with the ship – unless you changed his fate here…please, no. Loved the interaction with the snowballs. Darcy took the hit well. Would love a chapter sooner. Thanks for this one.

LOL Sheila, so many readers are confident we haven’t killed the captain off. I think our writing must be at fault (or they know my love of a happy ending!)

Oh no! You didn’t Cass and Ada! You didn’t kill Frederick?! Seriously 😳 I can’t handle that! The plot thickens! Poor Anne! And the letter Miss Elliott obviously stole from Georgiana I do wonder what was in it?!
And the same attraction between Darcy and Lizzie continues to make trouble for our couple! Laughed out lot when Lizzie hit Darcy with the snow ball!

Lovely scene with Darcy and Lizzy. So close, and yet so far. Happy to see Anne and Lizzy deepening their friendship and sharing confidences. Poor Anne will need Lizzy after this news. I can’t imagine her despair if only her father and sisters were there. Have faith, Anne. (I wish she knew you and Ada would never hurt Capt. Wentworth 😉)
