I'm Cass, and I write the sort of stories I love to read - heart-warming, character driven and strong on location. I lean heavily towards the upbeat in both my reading and my writing.

Darcy really should start listening before he finds himself betrothed to Miss Elliot! It sounds like Sir Walter was encouraging this.
Darcy’s obviously beginning to realise his feelings for Elizabeth but is still unwilling to commit to her.
Elizabeth seems to be slightly rethinking her ideas re Bingley and even Wickham, more of that please!
How long will poor Anne be left in her misery before she discovers that Wentworth is alive? (See what confidence I have in you?)

I love it. What is it that Mr Elliot has done for his daughter the previous year? Did she misbehave?
Did she compromise herself is some way? She is such a hypocrite. She and Mr Elliot just want Darcy for his money and connections… But Darcy is no fool. The story is becoming quite suspenseful… thank you Cass and Ada.

Sir Walter to his daughter Elizabeth
“I have told you time and again, my dear. You cannot be too choosy”
Sir Walter’s strident voice carried . . . . .
“ It is the perfect solution, after what I did for you a year ago, you are in no position to delay, and the gentleman – – – – – “
Well well Miss Eliot, WHAT DID YOU DO a year ago that your father had to perhaps ‘cover up’ and why you can’t now be too choosy ??
Have you been a BAD girl and behaved in a way you should not have ?? 😳
Look out Darcy you are definitely ‘their marriage’ target. You need to have your wits about you in your dealings with that father and daughter, keep your mouth closed and your ears open !!
Poor Anne, my heart breaks for her, believing her love Frederick lost forever with the sinking of the Laconia 😢
(but with fingers crossed 🤞 that he is actually ok)

All I’m saying is it wouldn’t be much of a P&P/Persuasion crossover without the captain… unless we’re lining Anne up for the colonel! 🤔

I missed the fact that Miss Elliott stole Georgina ‘s letter, which probably spoke of his intrigued Darcy was by Elizabeth. Was her sour mood based upon what she read in the purloined letter? I don’t feel bad for Darcy and his elitist views regarding Elizabeth and her family. I am waiting for Elizabeth to give him an eye opening set down! I like the way that Anne has started opening Elizabeth ‘s eyes concerning Bingley and his behavior towards Jane. Elizabeth too also needs an eye opening set down about her prejudices and shortcomings. Perhaps Georgina will do it in an innocent manner since Elizabeth believes in the goodness and truthfulness of others based upon their reaction to her and her family. It is obvious to Darcy that Miss Elliott really doesn’t care for his sister. I am surprised that he allowed Sir Elliott to speak to him the way that he did and his dismissive approach concerning Georgina ‘s music practice.!

People put two and two together!
In Chapter Eleven, Darcy reflects on Miss Elliot paying attention to Georgiana’s book when he goes to get ready to escort her home in the carriage, and then, later, when he’s with his sister, she says she was looking for a letter but couldn’t find it!
Readers are good sleuths! 🤪

I’m glad Anne has Lizzy. Too bad Georgia got stuck with Miss Elliot. Any chance she might come to her rescue in the music room.

Sir Walter and EE (pronounced as “eek”) are so delightfully horrid. Every scene with them vibrates with all of the air leaving the room. Their snobbery is beyond compare and their condescension is perfection indeed, never altered by any sense of comprehension. They would never be affected by any set down delivered by someone who is so decidedly beneath them, such as a rich untitled gentleman or a poor country miss with an uncle in trade. Their noses are so high up in the air it is amazing they are able to walk. (Maybe that helps to explain why there are so many mirrors in the house.) I really can’t get enough of them.

Melancholy feeling for Anne…she seems resigned but at least she touched base with Frederick’s brother. Elizabeth seems to be reconsidering her opinions about descriptions given concerning Georgiana and maybe Darcy will give her some reasons to reevaluate her opinion of him, also. He certainly realizes that she arouses feelings which are seeming to be impossible to ignore. The Elliots-yes, what did Elizabeth do last summer? Thanks for this chapter.

Well well it’s seems as if annoying Miss Elliott has been a bad girl a year or so ago, but just what did she do get up to?! I’m intrigued.
And Anne and Elizabeth, well they are getting on as a house on fire! I still feel for poor Anne, but if I know my favourite author Wentworth is still alive, in some miraculous way. And of course the attraction of Darcy and Elizabeth is growing on Darcy’s part, but I’m at a loss as to what Elizabeth feels… she is starting to understand him somewhat but still has some issues with him, obviously 🙄

Whenever Darcy doesn’t stand up for Lizzy, I want to smack him upside the head. Whatever scheme Sir Walter and Evil Elizabeth hatched is bound to make me want to smack them, as well. Then again, I almost always want to smack them. 😂 I can smell the angst creeping in.
Lizzy and Anne are MFEO as friends. You have crafted the makings of a beautiful friendship for them, one that will help and sustain them through whatever you have in store. 😉 I think I will be reading the upcoming chapters with one eye closed…LOL
