OMG! Relief for Anne so soon? If Sir Walter won’t allow Wentworth into Kellynch, hopefully Anne can persuade Darcy to let him stay at the cottage? That way Anne (and of course Elizabeth) must visit very regularly! 😉😊
Darcy at least is starting to doubt his opinion of Jane and Elizabeth seems to have noticed his expression while speaking to her, even though she doesn’t understand it yet! 🥰

Totally agree, Glynis. I think Mr Darcy will host Captain Wentworth. It will also be a chance for Elizabeth to see Darcy’s compassionate side. I think Elizabeth might have guessed what Darcy was about to say… If she did, I wonder how she will react… I wonder also when will someone put her right about Whickham’s dealings with Mr Darcy… I am enjoying the story immensely.

What a cliffhanger!! Wentworth is back (we knew he would be)… I predict he has amnesia, poor guy. Poor Darcy, too. Elizabeth really let him have it!

As others have, I hope this is Frederick Wentworth. Although it sounds as if he is suffering injuries which limit his speech and maybe his memories. If he stays with Darcy (Sir Elliot refusing to take him in) then Anne will learn of that and just maybe Elizabeth B. will visit with her and she will get to know more about Darcy’s character. But he does have to correct both his handling of Bingley and her impressions about Wickham. Thanks for this chaper.

Elizabeth definitely has Darcy in a tailspin! He should contact Bingley immediately and tell him the truth about Jane according to Elizabeth. That will be his first step towards redeeming himself.
