Ohhh the plot suddenly thickens even further! And Darcy and Elizabeth still fights their inclinations 🙄 But gosh I think Anne just won back her life and her future! Or so I hope! Please say it is so Cass and Ada? 🤔🤩 I love how Anne reacted to the sight of Frederick it was beautiful and so heart wrenching! Love love love this story!

So do I. I am entranced and I just wish I had the whole book in my hands right now. It makes me feel like Jane Austen herself when she was reading stories in installments in her time… I am very happy for Anne and I hope Frederick has a slow but sure recovery. Thanks Cass and Ada.

Oh yes! Good for Darcy and I loved Elizabeth’s response to Sir Walter 🥰. Elizabeth seems to be getting on better with Darcy so I do hope this continues? Maybe she could chat to Georgiana and learn the truth of Wickham?
Sir Walter an indulgent father? What planet does he live on? The only person he indulges is himself! He obviously failed to see the effect of Wentworth‘s situation on Anne, thank goodness Elizabeth was there 😊

I, too, loved Elizabeth’s retort to Sir Elliot – he reveals himself as she thought of him! Nicely spoken. So glad for Anne to now learn Frederick did not “go down with his ship” but hopefully he will recover in full. Elizabeth being in Darcy’s residence should reveal much to her of his real character and maybe he can rectify the Bingley situation as to Jane. She just cannot marry Collins. Thanks for this chapter.

I actually gasped aloud, with tears streaming down my cheeks! My daughter was concerned, as I am currently ill, but I was able to explain because, even though she is but 10 years of age, she knows exactly who all of these characters are. Once I enlightened her as to the story line, she exclaimed Oh! I see! ❤️

This is such a tender scene of Anne and Captain Wenteorth. What a pompous a———— Sir Elliot is. There is no doubt Elizabeth Elliot would be unappealing to Darcy. She is not much better. She is so like Caroline Bingley, only higher up the Social scale.

Darcy at least has done the decent thing in helping Captain Wentworth! Now he will recover and cause more friction in the Eliott household! I can hardly wait for the sparks to start flying!

You and Ada have always had that incredible ability to put your readers right into the scene – feeling and experiencing everything the characters do. That was so present and so powerful here. I could feel Anne’s disbelief and despair; Darcy’s and Lizzy’s barely concealed disdain for the truly awful Sir Walter followed by their awkward, tense walk. But you softened it just a little and perfectly with Darcy’s gallantry and Lizzy’s indomitable wit. I just adored this entire chapter and cannot wait to see what you have in store for us. I am all in.
