Gasp! 😱 what? Cliffhanger? I can hardly breathe! Where are Darcy and the Colonel? Why doesn’t Anne tell her father to get lost then she can tell Frederick that she’s always loved him and still does?
March? MARCH? Complete and utter cruelty! Disgraceful! Please just confirm that both Elizabeth and Anne WILL get their happy ending (and preferably not on the very last page please!)

      😂 Sorry not sorry!

I did warn everyone there would be a cliffhanger – far be it from me to go against my word! 🤪

Glynis, if you know my stories, you can feel confident in happy endings all round. I never do otherwise and nor does Ada. Nor will it be on the last page – you must have faith in us!

Phew! Yes well I’ve managed to calm down slightly so thank you for the ‘must have’ happy ending confirmation. As well as the obvious happy ending pages promised. 😘

Pour yourself a nice cup of tea and breathe! Like Jane Austen, I let other pens dwell on guilt and misery! 😋

Oh how terribly vexing!! We have to wait a full month to learn how Sir Walter’s interference turns out! We know he can no longer persuade the lady, but will his prompting the memories of the Captain persuade that lover??

Wow! Just wow. What a great chapter. Here I was afraid that the Captain’s brother was going to let the truth out, but Sir Walter actually exerting himself was a surprise. It’s clear that Darcy is still in love and Elizabeth’s feelings are starting to change…yay! I can’t wait to read the whole story.

What a chapter ending! It’s cruel… yes, but we will cope and the rest of the book will be all the more enjoyable for reading without having to stop… Thank you very much for sharing with all of us. I have thoroughly enjoyed it.

My goodness, what a page turner! I cannot wait to order or preorder the book. Very well done – you kept the characters of the main players true to form but altered them just enough to fit into this cross-over story.
I‘m ready for the completed book!

Of course it ends on a cliffhanger so as to entice us to gain possession of the book somehow! Laughing. I will definitely be looking forward to reading the rest of the story. My problem is with reading so many stories being able to recall all the details when I don’t read the chapters in quick succession. My problem…not your. Thank you for sharing with us here. Good luck with publication and release.

Looking forward to the rest of the book. Poor Anne, her father is the worst and now what does the captain think. Hopefully he will remember how kind, loving and attentive she has been while he was sick and that will make him think he has another chance with her. But that awful older sister! Poor Darcy as well. So many unanswered questions. Good luck with publishing!

Thank you, Jen! Just in that mad dash now (as you are familiar with!) Yes, Sir Walter goes from bad to worse, doesn’t he? Just when you think he can’t do any more damage than he’s already doing…

When it rains….. wow! Sir Walter is puffed up and starting to blow it all! Poor Anne and her Captain. I suppose Darcy is about to dive headlong into this mess, and Sir W believed the lowly EB (and her allurements) had already gone long ago. Oooo, I love it!
    A month?? Sigh.

  12. Jan S. says:

Poor Anne! Being a dutiful obedient daughter is deeply ingrained in her. But fortunately, she has had several months of influence from the impertinent, obstinate, headstrong girl known as Elizabeth Bennet. It’s time to put into practice everything she has learned. There may be a silver lining to having Anne return to Kellynch as it will place her in the same location as the purloined letter. What a happy day that will be when Sir Walter’s dastardly scheme comes to naught. Is it too much to hope that he would then be shoved into a pile of manure by Colonel Fitzwilliam? Or maybe both he and his eldest daughter could suffer an accident involving the pig pen. Whatever… I’m looking forward to reading the end of this tale!

I do think Lizzy is being a positive influence on Anne (and I hope vice versa)! LOL re the manure and the pig pen. Beginning to wish we’d gone down that route!
