Today is a very special day, not just because Mr Darcy’s Persuasion is finally out there, but because it’s also the 8th birthday of my first ever book baby, A Fair Prospect, Vol I – Disappointed Hopes.πππ
So it’s time to celebrate! Mr Darcy’s Persuasion is available in paperback and eBook formats and can also be read for FREE in Kindle Unlimited, and you can find it HERE!
As regular readers of the blog will know, Ada and I plan to run several giveaways of gift bundles of Jane Austen-themed gifts today, so do keep popping back to enter each one. It’s as easy as leaving a comment (full details at the bottom of this post).
We’re also going to be on the lovely Rita Deodato’s blog, From Pemberley to Milton, later today where she is interviewing us and there’s a further two giveaways on offer!
So onto the first giveaway bundles to celebrate publication day!
There are TWO bundles up for grabs, and both contain a lovely notebook bearing a Jane Austen quote, a Jane Austen knitted mouse, Regency themed bag beads and some chocolates featuring the new book cover.
The mice vary a little, as they are hand-made, and the knitted book covers are a different colour for each one (the one pictured is my own).
So what do you have to do to enter? It’s very easy!
Here is a quote from Mr Darcy’s Persuasion, Chapter Forty-Seven:
βI promise, should you feel the need for respite, you can ask me for assistance.β
All you have to do is guess who is speaking! And you can be wrong! No need to get it right to enter the draw, just leave a comment with your guess and you’ll be in it! (Hint: it’s a woman speaking!)
Next giveaway bundle will be announced at midday UK time!
~o0o~
GIVEAWAY nitty gritty:
All giveaways are open internationally and will end at midnight PST (West Coast USA) on Wednesday, 10th March 2021, and the draws will take place on Saturday, 13th March, with all winners announced here on the blog. You will also receive an email telling you that you are a winner!
If a gift bundle isn’t claimed within 5 days of the draw closing, another name will be selected. You can find the Giveaway Terms & Conditions here.
Good morning from Wales!
I think it was Anne Elliot. Not sure. Happy bookaversary, Cass! During Christmas, when you stopped posting chapters of Mr Darcy’s Persuasion for a while, I re read all three volumes of A Fair Prospect. This is about my fourth reading of it and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is standing the test of time marvellously. Have lots of fun today!

I have a small collection of handmade cute little mice in sweet and vintage clothing. Any one of these would be the star of my collection, and always make me think of you and your charming books. Thank you for the opportunity and for your generous giveaway. I’m thrilled to see the response to your Book Birthday Celebration! Congratulations! I think Elizabeth made the statement you referred to. Sending virtual hugs!

The vintage mice sound adorable! I think Jane Mouse might be a bit big for your collection as she’s a good 6 inches tall – but cute, all the same!

My mice are 5″ tall, and I have one wearing a raincoat that’s 6-1/2″ tall, so Jane Mouse would fit right in and be perfectly at home!
