California Time..

Hello! It’s 3pm my time and I’ve got two more giveaways to have a contest for. I was going to share another set of photos of Cass, but I received the most beautiful flower bouquet from her just a few minutes ago and I have to be cheesy again: Cass, I’m so sorry that I don’t compare to what an amazing class act of a partner you are… but to be fair, I don’t think anyone could!

Thank you Cass! Happy Publication Day!!!

Alright! Let’s get to that third California takeover giveaway!! First off, what will you win??

For this giveaway you have two mini chocolate covers, a set of pencils (these may be the same pencils on one of the earlier giveaways, but I didn’t want to ruin the pretty packaging to show you – I’ll check with Cass on what they are), and the Austen men + quote art. Edited by Cass to say, the pencils have Persuasion quotes on them.

Next… how to win??? EASY! Answer this poll question and tell us what you picked in the comments:

GIVEAWAY nitty gritty:

All giveaways are open internationally and will end at midnight PST (West Coast USA) on Wednesday, 10th March 2021, and the draws will take place on Saturday, 13th March, with all winners announced here on the blog. You will also receive an email telling you that you are a winner!

If a gift bundle isn’t claimed within 5 days of the draw closing, another name will be selected. You can find the Giveaway Terms & Conditions here.

Gorgeous flowers – what a thoughtful friend. I chose Netherfield due to its location closer to London. I would like to take in a concert or play now and then and have access to good book shops but at the same time have the country air year round to breathe and take walks in.

You are thinking through this with way more logic than I would have. Smart smart smart. I don’t want to be having all home slaughtered meals! I want to go into London too!

Oh my it has to be Pemberly with the trees behind the house, the water in front, hills nearby plus a long drive! Loads of nature!

  4. Wow! What amazing flowers! Well done! And another giveaway! You are spoiling us!
I would choose to live in Donwell Abbey. It’s in the country, but close to London, and more importantly, close to Box Hill so I could have a picnic and invite all my friends.
If Mr Knightly still lived there, all the better! 😊

I’m going to go with Norland Park because of the location. It’s a beautiful place. The Mrs. Dashwood and her daughters did enjoy their life there until they were forced to leave.

The grounds of Pemberley is what draws me. I love being outdoors and while I am sure all of the aforementioned estates have plenty to suffice, the variety and immense size described in the novel just make my heart sing ❤️

I picked Donwell Abbey only because my REAL first choice, Delaford, was not available. The strawberry patches and apple orchards would really pull me, along with it being a quiet place.

Oh yeah? Hold on, I just need to buy some locks and barricade a few windows real quick. Not to lock anyone in or anything… I mean… of course not. How could you even think it of me?

I would be happy to live in any of these wonderful homes. I mean, who wouldn’t? My dream would be to live in an English manor! Thank you for the wonderful giveaways and congratulations on your new book!

Thank you so much ! Ha, I mean, honestly, I agree. Although I would really need a lot of fireplaces. Which one has most fireplaces?

I chose Donwell Abbey as it seems to be quite a comfortable home. I don’t think I could keep up with all that is needed to run Pemberley! In truth if Woodston would have been an option I would have totally chosen that one!!!!

I can’t argue. Except, like I just said… I’d probably live in exactly two of the rooms and be terrified of the rest at night.

Of course it would be Pemberley. I’ve read the description and seen the many adaptations of P&P and it can’t beat the other choices.

  21. Glynis says:

Obviously I had to choose Pemberley! I mean Darcy right? Plus I could wander the grounds around the pond and hope to get lucky with the ‘view’
I haven’t been able to visit since Christmas 2019 and have rarely even been able to drive past with the restrictions so living there would be a definite bonus!

    • Cass says:

You are lucky to live nearby, though, and I’m sure you will go back soon! We return to North Yorkshire to live in July, so I plan on revisiting many P&P haunts soon after!

I think I’ve asked this before but my memory! 😳😳. Will you be near Richmond? My Mum comes from Brompton on Swale and met my Dad near the end of the war when he was posted at the RAF base nearby. His story was that he went to the village dance and when he walked in all the girls rushed at him! Mum was apparently first 😉😂🤣.
They married and moved to Derbyshire where Dad was from.

I chose Pemberley, Mr Darcy is there after all. I also trust Mrs Reynolds to help me out. However in reality, I would probably be a maid below stairs!
