Oops, I think I did it again!

Wrote a blog post, that is. 🤪 (And finally worked out how to add emojis in WordPress… after 10 long years)! 😱

It’s been an exciting week so far, firstly by taking delivery of my author copies of the print edition of New Dreams in Polkerran Point. It’s as pretty as it looks and has a lovely embossed title on the front and the spine. 🥰

In addition, I’ve also seen the final version of the cover to the second book in the series, but more on that later. (No more emojis, I promise)!

Polkerran is a fictitious coastal village in south-east Cornwall, and I’ll be talking more about the inspiration for the location in next week’s blog post (yes, I’ll be doing it again).

In the meantime, we’re now three weeks to publication day on 21st September, and there are some lovely reviews coming in with quotes like these:

If you think you might enjoy it, it’s available for pre-order here.

I promised last week that I’d say a few words about the Little Cornish Cove series (bearing in mind many of you may have read New Dreams at Polkerran Point when it was The Cottage in a Cornish Cove).

The whole series is set in and around Polkerran Point, and features a cast of characters—both local and incomers—throughout. The five books will be standalone stories in that they can be read in any order, but there will be more continuity if read from the first book onwards, as there is an underlying storyline in the background (if you know my writing,  you know I like a bit of mystery with my romance)! There are also characters who feature in a supporting role in some books but who then get their chance to shine in later ones.

I’m happy to share that the next book is called Escape to Polkerran Point, and I’m told the cover will be revealed very soon, when you’ll be able to read the blurb to see what it’s about. It’s due to be released in February 2024, and will be up for pre-order as soon as the cover is out there.

As for the third book in the Little Cornish Cove series, which I’m currently writing, it’s set at Christmas (as yet untitled) and is due to be released late summer 2024, with the fourth and fifth books coming out in 2025.

That’s it for this week. Thank you if you’ve read this far, and despite my earlier promise, of course I’m going to do this!! 😋👋🏻😆

You make me smile every time you mention Cornwall, anything Cornish or Polkerran. I love reading these little blogs you write and they make me long to read the next “chapter” for Polkerran and its residents and ‘newcomers’.
Looking forward to the new blog too 😂🤣😅🤭
