And we got kisses!
Thank you! It is lovely!
Yes, I thought a few more kisses wouldn’t go amiss, Carol! 😉
Ah, what a chapter. I hope no one who matters gets hurt. Love the proposal and our dear couple scenes. I wonder what Bingley was carrying. It would seyrve Wickham right if Lydia took care of him with whatever is handy.
So many options for giving Wickham his comeuppance! 😉
Glad you enjoyed it, Donna!
Oh, Cass, That was so beautiful. “m glad she found him again before he left. The proposal and what followed definitely was swoon worthy. I just Love LOVE! What a great way to start the day. Too bad they have to face GW. But we need resolution so we can get our HEA! YES! HEA! Oh Boy! Thanks so much. Jen Red ♫
Happy you are happy, Jen!!!
One last chapter next week or is it just because of your trip?
Lovin’ Lizzie and Darcy together!
I don’t think it will be the final chapter next week, Jessica, though it may be. I have some loose ends to tie up. There will also be an Epilogue at some point. 😀
It’s because of travelling that I can’t commit to more than one next week.
*Girly shriek!!!!!!!!!!* Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 oh I think you can guess at my reaction Cass as to Elizabeth’s answer to Darcy’s proposal!!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🎉🎉🎉🎉👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 God that was brilliant, and sweet and romantic and wonderful and amazing and brilliantly well written! I loved this chapter rather badly! And that kiss omg! More of those is necessary between Darcy and Elizabeth soon!
Sends a silent pray to the heavens for the safety of Darcy, now that he and Elizabeth are SO close to their happily ever after!
Have a wonderful trip, you lucky 🍀 woman! I’m not in the least envious *slowly turning green*
I think this may be the first time you haven’t told me off in your comment, Sophia! ❤ 😉
I'm so pleased you enjoyed it and found it romantic! ❤

Sigh!!! What a lovely Chapter, thank you Cass. Can’t wait for Friday and safe trip to England.
So happy you enjoyed, Tish Tim!
Good luck on your unexpected trip and I do hope it is not something wrong in your world.
Thank you for THE CHAPTER we have all been waiting for. Elizabeth says ‘yes’ and Darcy will not listen to any of her arguments against the match. Love those embraces and kisses and glad he met her before leaving. I kept holding my breath that Wickham would show up near Pemberley and find her out of doors.
So pleased you enjoyed the chapter, Sheila!
My father in law has been unwell recently so we’ve been going over to England more often (he’s on the mend, thankfully), including this Easter visit which wasn’t planned initially, and now my husband has added some work days to it, hence my being away a week.
Glad she got to see him off. Thanks for the chapter.
You’re very welcome, Fran!
He knows Elizabeth well…no reason can change his mind. Bliss…
Have a wonderful Easter and safe journey to England. Looking forward to Friday!
I didn’t want there to be too much of a protest, Carole. After all, she does love him. 😀
Love the kisses! Glad Darcy proposed so no misunderstandings. I wish Elizabeth would stay inside Pemberley
and stay safe!
I must admit, I half expected Elizabeth to sneak off and walk the two miles to The Grange regardless!
So did I 🙂
Oh, Cass! Such a lovely and poignant chapter. I enjoyed every word and yours are so brilliantly written. Thank you. Hope you can enjoy your visit to England and that FIL continues to improve.
So pleased you enjoyed it, Janet!
And…they are united, engaged how lovely and spontaneously done. This reads every week to me like the episodes of a mini series. We should contact Julian Fellows or Debbie Horsefield and have them put this on television. It is that good 🙂
LOL re the scriptwriters, Julie! Would you care to become my PR person? 😉

Why not LOL 🙂
Traveling in England, Cass? Give my greetings ❤😀
Should you visit our beloved part of Derbyshire… have a look (and maybe a beer) at The Sir William in Grindleford. Nice view (Curbar Edge), nice people. Terry and Helen are great hosts.
Oh. And they call me B, bee… wird a daughter Deborah… what ever
..with.. and whatever is the code😂
I’ve never stopped at Grindleford. I will look out for it and do as you say, Beate!
Will do, Beate!
Oh. BTW this is awesome! I hope for endless more chapters!
Dass, you can’t stop writing this story. Yeees I know… three or four chapters more… then an epilogue. But there is so much more in this story. Keep going – please!?! Why should there be an end? There’s our beloved couple, Lydia (and the one who has the living in kympton?), Mr. Benett and Mrs. Annesley, Bingley and Jane, the Colonel and Miss Latimer… please don’t stopp. This could be the first book of a centennial series!
LOL, Beate!!!! This has taken over my life for six months. I need to get back to reality (at least, my husband thinks I do!) 😉
I will do my best to cover all your options in the Epilogue!
Cass, it is so nice to plunge into your very nice created world!
Bless you ❤
I also enjoyed ODC’s tender interactions. Very well done, Cass…It is charming that Lizzy blushes in his presence thinking of his kisses. So would I…
Looking forward to Friday and hoping Wickham’ s comeuppance happens soon.
Thank you for a very romantic chapter.
You’re very welcome, Cristina, and thank you for continuing to read along!
I could not stop even if I tried…which I don’t anyway. As Beate was saying, there is scope for continuing the other stories… perhaps in a second volume?
Think about it, dear author…
Swoon! Hoping you can keep ODC safe!
I will do my best, Clara!
Wow!!! Loved this chapter!! Darcy and Elizabeth are so sweet together!! And now for the suspense of waiting to see what happens, both for Elizabeth and for us as we await the next chapter on Friday.
And now I think I have an additional favorite rainy scene to add to Shannon’s list at Austen Variations, LOL!! 😉
Enjoy your travels!!
I’m wondering if it’s the Brit in me that leads me to write rainy scenes, Susanne! 😉
So happy you loved the chapter!
Lovely chapter. Darcy’s words to Elizabeth were so endearing. Elizabeth’s blushes were very sweet, too! Glad they got to talk before he headed to the Grange.
So what was Bingley taking with Him? A weapon? A ring? I wonder…
Looking forward to the next chapter and seeing what happens with Wickham.
Wishing you safe travels!
Ah, Bingley – hmm, Bungley with a weapon? That sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, LOL! 😉
Thank you, Maureen!
Yeah, Bungley with a weapon might not be such a good idea..But you never know. He could surprise everyone with his heroics!
This is among the loveliest and most exciting Pride and Prejudice variations I have read. And, it is so romantic! What a good movie or televised series this would make. It is a must for publishing. I look forward to each new chapter like some kind of treat.
Oh, Donna, I am so touched over your kind words!
I wish I had the money to make it into a visual version, though. That would be so much fun (especially the casting)! lol
What a sweet, romantic chapter! I cannot wait for Thursday as I expect we shall finally she Wickham and hopefully his demise!
I expect Bingley had an engagement ring with him!
Maybe… and maybe not! 😉
I’m afraid it will be Friday this week, Lizzybel!
Love that you found this romantic! ❤
Hi Cass! I have been remiss in my comments because I moved and only yesterday had my internet back and then I could read the last three chapters in a row (which wasn’t so bad after all!! lol :D). What can I say? I am sooo happy ODC is finally engaged! That scene on the raining woods was so beautiful and Elizabeth saying goodbye to him so touching. I am so glad she is back at Pemberley, at least for the time being. But I am kinda of sad that this story is coming to an end. I will just have to enjoy the next few chapters. Thank you!! 🙂
Hope you are settling into your new home with ease! Personally, I’m not sad the story is coming to an end, I’m really happy about it 😀 lol
I’m pleased you enjoyed the last few chapters ❤
Ahhh! That’s a very satisfied sigh here! You do those scenes so well.
At the risk of sounding somewhat irreverant, and with absolutely no disrespect to your writing, it strikes me that kisses have been a bit like buses – you wait ages for one and then a whole load turn up at once! I’m so glad Elizabeth managed to find Darcy (or was it the other way round?) before he set off for The Grange. The farewell scene was just as lovely as the opening one.
Now what has Bungley got secreted inside his coat? Surely you’ve not given him a firearm, Cass? Or could a ring box give a noticeable bulge instead? Bungley, is this the right time (when possible clence may ensue) to be proposing? Either option is fraught with possible danger, one way or another!
And I can’t go without asking if there was a little reference to Mr. Knightley right there at the beginning when Darcy says ‘I cannot make pretty speeches, Elizabeth’.
Anji, I also thought of Mr. Knightley when reading that part. 🙂
