Okay, so I had you at ‘giveaway’, didn’t I? And you’re wondering what’s on offer, and why is it wobbly? 🤔
Well, if you’ve followed the last few posts, you’re probably aware I have a book coming out next week. You’re also probably aware it’s set in Cornwall, and it’s highly likely you’ve noticed the pretty cover.
The Giveaway
Basically, I’ve got two paperback copies of New Dreams at Polkerran Point that are looking for a caring home where they won’t be judged on their appearance.
You see, I received my author copies of the book recently, and two of them didn’t come out of the production process quite as well as they should, in that the titles missed landing on the very nice embossed lettering. 😱
Now, the interior of the book is fine. The only downside to these two copies is that, when you look at the front cover or spine, you wonder if you’ve had one too many glasses of wine or forgotten to put the right spectacles on!

How to Enter
It’s easy peasy. Just leave a comment saying why you think you’d be able to give the book a good home! As the average number of comments over recent weeks has been three, you stand a good chance of winning one of them!
The giveaway is open worldwide, and two winners will be chosen by an impartial judge (either my husband, Julian, or one of our cats, Tig or Tag, depending on who’s the most obliging on the day).
Giveaway closes at midnight on Monday, 18th September 2023, winners will be notified and have seven days to claim their wobbly copy of the book. If they don’t, another winner will be chosen.
(The slightly boring but necessary T&C for the giveaway can be read here).
In Other News…
The cover for the second book in the series, Escape to Polkerran Point, was revealed earlier this week, and it’s available for preorder here.
Can fake dating turn into something more with a baby on the way?
High-flying exec Lauren Kirkham is having a bad week. Unexpectedly pregnant, out of work and – when dumped by her boyfriend – with nowhere to live.
Polkerran’s local handyman Daniel Tremayne is busy building his own ‘grand design’ on one of the cove’s cliffs. When TV crews turn up to film, expecting a happily paired up couple, he urgently needs a fake live-in girlfriend, since he’s also split with his ex.
Can Lauren and Daniel solve their mutual dilemmas by joining forces, and if so, will their hearts emerge unscathed?
A heartwarming and fun Cornish romance, perfect for fans of Cressida McLaughlin, Jessica Redland and Phillipa Ashley.

Finally, a lovely review came out today from blogger, Linda Hill on her Linda’s Book Bag blog, for New Dreams at Polkerran Point, and you can read it here, but I’ll share an excerpt, because it made my heart smile! 🥰
“New Dreams at Polkerran Point is absolutely smashing. Written with heart and understanding, it leaves the reader with a warm feeling of fulfilment. I thought it was gorgeous.”
See you a week today, publication day, and good luck with the giveaway!
Warmest wishes
Cass xx

I had loved The Cottage in a Cornish Cove. I still have this copy on my bookcase. Since the name has changed, I wouldn’t mind reading it again under the new name because I will be getting the next book in this series and keeping it. I love the setting of the story and the two loves that met. The cover of the wobbly copy is still pretty. It won’t bother me. It will happily be right next to my copy of The Cottage in a Cornish Cove. Thank you for the chance to win it.

Ha! Ok, my qualifications… I’m wobbly. Quite. I loved the first book, loved THE WORLD of the first book. And I think either Tig or Tag might be my best bet; I’m leaning toward Tag. Definitely not Julian, please, pretty sure he has too much integrity to play favorites. Yep, my future feels safe in Tag’s paws. 😎

I’m sort of laughing re the wobbly, but not because that’s not good! You’ve chosen well with Tag! Let’s see what happens!

What a gorgeous review that was on New Dreams at Polkerran Point. I wish you many more such reviews 👍🏻
Why I think I’d be able to give your book a good home? I loved the book and the storyline and characters in it, but I am hopelessly in love 💕 with one of your characters. I would read and look after your book in the same way I treat my JA books – very special treatment. It would have a beautiful spot in my library for friends to see it. As for the cover – Don’t judge a book by its cover! 😉 It’s what’s at the inside that counts.
I wish you all the best for this book and the one out in a few months 🙏🏻
