So, EE nicked Georgiana’s letter. What a vile creature she is! Now Elizabeth knows that Wickham’s description of Georgiana was incorrect, but still holds on to the story about Darcy. Hmm… Darcy finally sees the error of his condescending ways. I wonder if his next meeting with EB will cause him even more conflict. Nice job on the reference to the Monkford curate. I hope we get to meet him.

I think it’s too soon for Elizabeth to suddenly see Wickham for who he is. She hasn’t been given any proof he’s a bad one and has spent the last few weeks crushing on Wickham and despising Darcy.

Thank you for another chapter. Both Elizabeth and Darcy are fighting their attraction to each other. However Darcy seems much more aware of just what he is resisting. Elizabeth just doesn’t meet his standards in society…connections & wealth. Whereas for Elizabeth it is the separating of Jane and Bingley and the behavior attributed to him by Wickham so she thinks him ignoble.

Agreed. I love this about Elizabeth in that she’s oblivious to being attracted to him at this point!

At last Darcy sees how his attitude towards the less fortunate was like how his peers behaves. He’s becoming more likeable.

I found it really hard to write a Darcy who hadn’t seen the errors of his ways. I’m relieved we’re starting to get beyond it… although there’s a way to go yet!
