Welcome to my blog, where I share my love of books, travelling, cats and other things... but mainly books!
An avid bookworm since childhood, I write the sort of stories I love to read – heart-warming, character driven and strong on location. Having moved around extensively and lived in three countries, I find places inspiring and the setting of my novels often becomes as much a part of the story as the characters.
I lean heavily towards the upbeat and insist on a happy ever after. As one of my favourite authors, Jane Austen, once wrote, ‘let other pens dwell on guilt and misery’.
I love travelling, words, cats and wine but never in the same glass, and I currently split my time between Switzerland, where I live with my husband and imaginary cats, and England, where I live with my characters.
That was a very interesting chapter. How and when will Elizabeth be put in the right about Mr Wickham? It’s awful to see her still thinking well of him and badly of Mr Darcy.
Thank you for this chapter and for the info about pre-ordering the book.

I do hate it when Elizabeth slavishly believes Wickham! I’m certainly praying she soon learns the truth about him. I feel so sorry for Darcy, trying to deal with his love for Elizabeth while she’s defending his enemy, and still trying to come up with a way to deal with evil Sir Walter and his despicable daughter!

I hate it too, Glynis. I’ve always written JAFF which takes place after she has realised her mistakes before now, and I found this tough going! I’m as keen for her to understand as you!

Ah, a library. Reading to pass the time. Perfect! Meanwhile, Elizabeth should know of Wickham’s true colors.

I have to agree. I am wanting someone, somehow to strongly enlighten Elizabeth about Wickham’s true nature. Furthermore, how, oh, how is Darcy going to get out of this blackmail situation of having to be engaged to Elizabeth Elliot? Cheering on Anne Elliot and hoping all will resolve itself between her and Frederick. Thanks for this chapter.

You always are the right place in the story, Sheila, about Elizabeth, with your comments! Your wish is our command again! Afraid we can’t help Darcy just yet!

Thank you for another chapter. I’m wondering if Richard will discover a solution in Darcy’s absence. If he and Anne were to have a conversation, possibly, about her over-reaching sister… hmm…
I’ve pre-ordered so add me to the list of readers impatient for March 9th!

Perhaps Georgiana’s comfort level with Elizabeth will urge her to talk of Wickham? EB has obstinate and headstrong at new level. Something’s about to blow…Thank you for the new chapter!

LOL re obstinate and headstrong. To be fair, she’s had no reason to doubt Wickham’s word yet.

Very interesting chapter!
Especially with the mention of Wickham, Captain Wentworth is back in the land of the living and gosh Darcy is in trouble when not even Richard can come up with a plan which is doable!
I really hate the rest of Anne’s family!
