Welcome to my blog, where I share my love of books, travelling, cats and other things... but mainly books!
An avid bookworm since childhood, I write the sort of stories I love to read – heart-warming, character driven and strong on location. Having moved around extensively and lived in three countries, I find places inspiring and the setting of my novels often becomes as much a part of the story as the characters.
I lean heavily towards the upbeat and insist on a happy ever after. As one of my favourite authors, Jane Austen, once wrote, ‘let other pens dwell on guilt and misery’.
I love travelling, words, cats and wine but never in the same glass, and I currently split my time between Switzerland, where I live with my husband and imaginary cats, and England, where I live with my characters.
Where to begin indeed! I’m glad Elizabeth seems to be admitting to a better understanding of Darcy, long may it continue!
Darcy should briefly explain re Wentworth, Anne and Elizabeth then he should tell Richard about the blackmail by Sir Walter and his abhorrent daughter! Maybe Richard can discover what she did wrong the previous summer? Please, please let him come up with some solution!
(I wonder what idea Darcy got from Bingley’s letter? He should perhaps discuss that with Richard as well)

Darcy took your advice Glynis, as you will have seen in the next chapter!
What Sir Walter actually said was “after what I did for you a year ago”, so it wasn’t summer but winter when he did whatever he did! 🤪

Oh no! This ended too soon! I’m so glad the Colonel has arrived. Darcy better spill all. I loved the dinner scene and D&E’s interaction. I wonder what the letter from Bingley said and will Darcy encourage him to go back to Jane?

Oops – I read the next chapter first. Darcy can always use the company of his cousin and now can share the “fix” he is in with the “blackmail” by the Elliots. Glad to read that Elizabeth has been invited to stay with Anne at the cottage both for Darcy’s sake and for Anne’s sake. I am sure the situation with Wentworth will become interesting once things are sorted out – they both need to be open about their feelings and where they stand in regards to each other after all these years. Thanks for this chapter.

Haha! I added a note to it now so people don’t do that – sorry! It must have been a bit confusing then!
