Welcome to my blog, where I share my love of books, travelling, cats and other things... but mainly books!
An avid bookworm since childhood, I write the sort of stories I love to read – heart-warming, character driven and strong on location. Having moved around extensively and lived in three countries, I find places inspiring and the setting of my novels often becomes as much a part of the story as the characters.
I lean heavily towards the upbeat and insist on a happy ever after. As one of my favourite authors, Jane Austen, once wrote, ‘let other pens dwell on guilt and misery’.
I love travelling, words, cats and wine but never in the same glass, and I currently split my time between Switzerland, where I live with my husband and imaginary cats, and England, where I live with my characters.
Omg he’s a awake, but does not remember, don’t know if it’s positive or not… especially for Anne!?!
And I’m SO ready to hit the Elliot family over the head with a big stick! Don’t they get it yet?! Make Darcy lash out, beat Sir Walter, anything than go along with this farce it’s too much to handle for us readers especially since none of us like the Elliot family besides Anne!
Please keep posting this is amazing and getting more and more interesting

LOL – no, it’s hard to tell if it’s a good or bad thing for Anne! But hey, you didn’t think we’d make this straight-forward, did you? 😆

Happily the captain is awake. I hope Darcy is not coerced by Elliot and I hope Anne and the captain can work it out. Would love another conversation between D&E.

Plenty of D/E to come, Jen!

I’m glad Frederick is awake and talking. Now they can proceed with their betrothal, even if it is only in his faulty memory.
I suspect Sir Awful is not the clever mastermind he thinks he is. Darcy will figure out how to overset him.

Sir Awful 🤣 You make me laugh!
Yes, at some point, the rather full of himself baronet is due a fall. Let’s hope it’s Darcy’s foot that trips him!

I keep thinking that Darcy is in love with an Elizabeth. Seems like it would be easy enough for a “mistake” to be made somehow. But if in the mean time the ickyElizabeth and her gross blackmailing daddy are welcome to fall in a very large hole and just..stay there.

Well, at least Anne may proceed with some happiness. I am sure they are going to sort it all out and they are together. However, there is still the corner Darcy has been forced into. I cannot imagine how you are going to write him out of that but I am sure of a HEA. Thanks for this chapter.

Yes, you can rely on us for a HEA! We may put Darcy through the mill to get there, but then, it wouldn’t be half so satisfying, would it?

Thank goodness the Captain woke and is happy to see Anne. I do wonder what Georgiana was going to say to Elizabeth? I wish she could learn the truth and I certainly hope she stays there.
Darcy should refuse to spend any time with Elliot and his despicable daughter! I do hope the Colonel arrives soon and can help!

Another great chapter. I’m so glad to see the Captain awake and in love with Anne. I hope Darcy gets out of this engagement scam soon. Hopefully the Colonel will arrive and have some dirt on the Elliots that will make them back down. I can’t imagine Darcy engaged to the wrong Elizabeth!

I am so happy for Anne. They will have their HEA. I also long for more interaction between D&E.

Hope is in the air. I wonder how Darcy will get out from under Sir Walter.

So much is going down!
I’m glad that Anne and Cap W had a loving reunion no matter if/when he regains memory of their estrangement.
Georgiana’s low spirits are turning, but the exchange seems to be decidedly worse😮 And how enlightening to an angry Darcy to hear the disgusting Sir Walter voice his snobbish view of EB’s standing. Views certainly more prideful, but not so entirely far from what his own had been.
Great chapter!
